Welcome to the NEI Survey Portal
NEI has sponsored an annual survey of utility nuclear fuel costs since 1998. This portal now hosts two distinct reporting activities. Please identify your objective below and follow the corresponding instructions.
1. Annual Fuel Cost Survey
This is the standard survey distributed to NEI utility members involved in the purchase of nuclear fuel to develop industry benchmarking.
• How to access: Click the 'Annual Survey' button at the top of the screen.
• Protocol: Participation is on a 'give to get' basis. Data is collected by Programming Plus and remains confidential; results are aggregated and blinded to ensure no individual company data is visible to NEI or other members.
2. Utility Demand Survey (New)
We are now introducing the Utility Demand Survey for demand forecasting. This is a separate data collection effort with specific legal requirements.
• How to access: Select the 'Demand Survey' tab at the top of the navigation bar.
• Mandatory Requirement: You may only provide information in this section if you have a fully executed Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) in place with the Nuclear Energy Institute.
• Disclaimers: Please ensure you carefully read the specific disclaimers located within the Demand portion of the website before submission.
Data Privacy & Security
For both surveys, data integrity is our priority. Individual company data goes directly to Programming Plus. No individual data points are made available to NEI or other companies.
